ROOM DESIGN

Plan before populating racks

Physical space

Reserve space for racks, incoming pathways, patch fields, power, ventilation and maintenance clearances with the building team.

System architecture

Map OFC termination, core switches, firewalls, CCTV recording and monitoring to their own ports, power and ownership boundaries.

Growth

Allocate spare rack and pathway capacity against the approved expansion plan instead of an arbitrary percentage.

HANDOVER

Make the room operable

Records

Provide agreed rack elevations, cable labels, port maps, optical readings, configuration ownership and commissioning exceptions.

Support

Define who monitors alerts, who responds on site and who maintains each integrated subsystem.

DELIVERY MODEL

One accountable project sequence

Survey → Design → BOQ → Supply → Installation → Testing → Commissioning → Documentation → Handover → AMC. Specific work packages and acceptance criteria are agreed before execution.
